Christine Marie Davis is a Colorado artist, jeweler and sculptor. She creates jewelry from recycled metal and sculpture from found objects. She hunts for discarded items on hikes in the Colorado mountains, at dump sites, and at garage sales and thrift stores.  Things that are battered, broken, worn, and weathered with earthy patinas are her favorites. If something does not look old, she makes it so by hammering, heating, rusting or adding a patina. She see the processes of aging, handling and exposure to the elements as a "cooking" process that adds color, patina and textures to the materials and enhances their character.
